Recent life has brought some major changes and transitions, and this engagement session was born out of one of them. As some of you may know, I am in the process of joining staff with Campus Crusade for Christ, which has brought me down to Winter Park, Florida for a summer of training. A sweet blessing from Jesus has been my lovely roommate, also named Sarah, who I met in Charleston the week before coming down here. Sarah and her fiancé, Ed, got engaged only a few weeks before making the trek to Florida, and will be tying the knot in December. It was such a privilege to follow them around the beautiful campus of Rollins College (our temporary home this summer) to take their engagement pictures! Now presenting, #perkinspartyoftwo!

On May 25th, one of my oldest friends married the love of her life. Hope and I met 11 long years ago, as wee-little voyagers at Camp Carolina Trails. Diabetes brought us together, but Carolina kept us close, and I am so thankful for this friendship. Shawn and Hope's wedding was a beautiful display of what it looks like for two families to merge into one, and I am so thankful to have had the chance to witness it. Love you both! The venue for this wedding was the lovely, Morning Glory Farms. I got to make some new friends while shooting :) I had a wonderful time this year shooting the class of 2014. It was so cool hearing from all of these grads and seeing what doors UNC has opened to them for their next stage of life. Here are some of my favorites!
One of my closest friends is engaged y'all! I was so glad to not only have the chance to take Morgan and Jeremy's engagement photos, I was also blessed to get to witness the actual proposal. It was a day full of love and celebration, and here are some pictures to remember it by. 400 pictures in to the session, we finally got to the ring :) And Morgan didn't stop smiling for the rest of the day.
Hello fellow seniors! Graduation is officially 72 days away (you can start crying now), which means that it is just about time to start booking for senior photo sessions! I would love to take pictures of you and your friends to help commemorate your four years here at this beautiful little town on the hill. Contact me for booking information!! Pricing works as follows: baseline cost is $40, and there is an additional $10 charge per person in the group.
Here's what these prices will get you! As many pictures as we can take in an hour in whatever locations (on campus) that you want to go to. If after an hour you feel like there are still more pictures that you want to take we can add time on based on the $40/hour base-cost! AVAILABILITYThis is a general idea of what my schedule will look like in the coming weeks. Other factors will also play in (weather, how soon the trees are in bloom, exam schedules) so make sure to contact me to officially book when you would like to meet up :)
Jaclyn and Matt asked me to take some fun family christmas photos with their recently adopted fur baby, Brody. We had so much fun trying to stay warm on this rather brisk November morning at Mapleview.
I had the absolute pleasure of taking engagement portraits for one of my oldest friends and her sweet fiancé. Hope and I met way back in 2004, as fellow campers at CCT, North Carolina's premier diabetes camp. Since then, our friendship has been blessed to grow over the years and in our time together at UNC. I could not be more excited for her and Shawn's wedding, and feel so blessed to get to be a part of their special day. Congrats, SHOPE! You guys are my favorite. Something was going on here; I chose to not ask any questions...
Meet Maria, Kathryn, Sarah and Daniela. I had the privilege of shooting these beautiful friends of mine in Chapel Hill this past week. Aren't they just lovely? I asked them for their best "snapchat" faces. They happily obliged, and I got these golden shots. What a bunch! I'll close with this.Taylor and Frank held their ceremony at the N.C. botanical gardens. The gardens were a beautiful reflection of this bright and happy day. I was so blessed to get to experience this day with these two, their family and friends, and I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for their marriage. Here's to your happily ever after, Taylor and Frank! So many prayers and blessings over your marriage!
Today is the official two week marker of the sun rising on senior year. I am still refusing to believe that this is my last year at UNC; as more and more events take place, I'm trying not to measure everything by "lasts" but it is proving hard not to. I have officially had my last first day of class, my last Cornerstone Hoedown, and my last first Cru of the year. Where has the time gone?! As I reflect on my time at UNC, I am thankful for the ways that the Lord has blessed me throughout my four years here at Carolina. One of the biggest blessings has been my involvement with Cornerstone, UNC's version of Campus Crusade for Christ. As an intern this year, I have the exciting opportunity to see more of the heart behind Cornerstone's ministry and help in the planning of events and goals for this year. Here is what has happened with Cru in the first few weeks: Our freshmen picnic was another success this year! We were blessed to have over 600 freshmen show up and eat our food. I am so excited to be a small part of what the Lord is going to do through these young men and women in their next four years at my beloved school. SEPTEMBER GOALS
